Which is the biggest differentiator or does someone stay in their role within the first few months or do they leave this is the biggest reason 1e people leave early in a role because they re not culturally suited.

Sorted now let s start thinking about this future of that role you might want to ask what is the typical career path of somebody in this role. What kind of career path will this role evolve into in the future. Maybe. Over the next three years.

Now. This isn t in a selfish self serving way like so. When am i gonna get a promotion. It s not like that it s more about what kind of journey will you be on what kind of opportunities will be presented to you as a result of doing this role developing those skills.

How does that fit into the organization. Because what this tells you is how does the organization value this role and the skill set that this role requires they say something like you might give the opportunity to become a manager to start supervising others that leads to formal management responsibilities. Within five years. It could be looking at assistant director for example they re the kind of things it might appeal to you.

But if they say something like well actually you know what this role won t lead to a management role. This is a specialist role where you will become a subject matter expert effectively yes you will get promoted. But it won t be managing large teams. It will be working on your own as an expert maybe just something you like maybe.

It s something you don t so that s something you want to consider. There s a lot of people who either take a management route or a specialist route and they re two very different experiences within the workplace. That you want to think about so and all there may say hill them they may give you all the options amazing you could go management you could go specialist. You could go this way in which case that s perfect it could mean to you that this is a place of all sorts of opportunities.

A new open to everything any gonna go with the flow and see you were at leeds. You that s great so it s important to ask the question them because you want to see how open they are or how narrow they are in their answer. I live by this point you re still interested in the role. That s the last question. I asked because i just want to make sure all their boxes are ticked that gives them the opportunity to cover off anything that we may have missed in interview. I actually think that s too healthy.

But it s up to you at the end of the day.
