(STAFF AND) CAST SPEAK continued

GARRETT WANG actor Well, right now there's a lot of giddiness, there's a lot of joking around right now. And I guess that's just happiness for the fact that finally, after seven years, we're going to have a break, a real break. So there's happiness over that. There's sadness of course. I mean, any time you've been working with people for this length of time they become somewhat like family.

TIM RUSS actor The anticipation of the last two episodes being very special, and also the fact that you start to realise that you're not going to see these people ever again, for the most part. You may run into them, you may work with them, but this crew as a unit - you won't be, you know, coming in and shooting with them, so you're getting moments and beats during the day when you start to reflect upon it.

ALICE KRIGE The Borg Queen was one of those characters that does something that as an actor I always hope will happen, and you never know whether it's going to happen or not, which is that she started to take on a life entirely of her own. She became very fascinating and what was interesting was when I repeated the role in the [Star Trek Voyager] series finale it became clear to me that there was a whole other area of depth that one could go on plumbing with the character.

KATE MULGREW actress I feel like I've done a significant tour of duty with these people. There is a real sense that this has been so rarified, that this atmosphere, this time, this chapter captured, that I think we're aware of the fact that it is extraordinarily unusual to have experienced all of the... You know, we've run the gamut, the spectrum, of emotions, and I would say it's just been extraordinary.
