And you are more than welcome to check me out over on twitch tv. My link is in the description will be doing one stunt. What we doing deviljho over this coming weekend.
So definitely come and check it out so first were going to cover the basics of capturing to capture a creature you simply have to weaken it to a certain threshold of health. When the capture icon appears on the mini map or the creature starts trying to limp away. This is a indication that the creature is ready to be captured to capture a creature you can simply tranq.
The creature with some trencroms or tranq ammo.
If youre using a bow gun and then drop the trap. And capture them you can apply the tranqs after the trap. But its generally better to do it before because traps over the course of a hunt lasts less time.
As you apply more of them so now that we know how to capture a monster lets just quickly answer. Why you might want to capture. I just want to quickly apologize for the minor confusion beforehand.
Weve actually taken down the original video and re uploaded this one to avoid spreading any misinformation to be clear you get the exact same rewards from both carving and capturing a creature. So whether you kill it or capture. It or youre after a particular item it doesnt matter.
Which one you do however you may want to consider capturing the creature to bring the quest to a close sooner by capturing the creature you avoid having to do the rest of its health pool and damage and can finish the quest faster. However you may want to consider not capturing a creature. If youre going for that tail curve or if youre trying to break certain parts on the creature.
Which you fail to do up until the capture point. But do keep in mind whether you kill or capture a creature. The items you get will be the same if you want to see the exact percentages you can check out the link in the description to quranic o.
Which has the loot tables and while there may be some correct numbers.
Here are there its a good indication to go from. But one thing. I will suggest is that when trying to farm for specific items for your sets or weapon.
Instead of just going out blindly and killing the monster check the hunters notes check. Which parts drop the item as you need check if it is in the carve reward list or the generic reward list. Before you go out on the hunt.
So now with the basics out of the way. Lets talk about some advanced capturing tips that you may not know about i would just like to say that the figures going forwards from this point in the video are actually estimates. Theres no solid information with exact numbers.
So the figures are actually estimations. But all of the information is still correct and has applied to every hunt. But ive done the first thing to talk about is that the capture threshold.
Very creature is that 25 of that creatures health and a creature will actually flee at about 19 health. So there is a window before a creature runs away that you can actually capture it of course you can look on the mini map for the capture symbol. But as you may have noticed its not always reliable and doesnt always show up.
But theres a way to always know when the creature is ready to be captured before it tries to flee for example.
What you want to look out for is the slinger ammo drops. The pod drops that a creature leaves behind as you start to kill it those red little pods on the floor are actually an indication of what health. The creature is on the first pod drop will go when a creature reaches 30 remaining health.
The second will be at 20 and the third will be at 10. So as a creature reaches the end of its life. It starts to drop more and more pods and 30.
The first pod drops as ive just mentioned and a creature is capable at 25. So after youve seen the first pod drop and started to hit the creature a lot more it may then be ready to capture and a surefire way to always know when its ready to capture is on the second pod drop when that second pod drops and the creature is at 20 health. The creature is almost always ready to be captured there are slight.
Exceptions with this creatures like deviljho and lavasa off that seem to be captured all slightly after the second pod drop. But generally the second pod is when the creature is ready to be captured or at least. Very very close to it you could always wait until the third pod drops.
But that is often very close to when the creature is going to die. So generally you want to do it on the second pod drop. And if it doesnt quite capture such as deviljho and niversity off damage it while its in the trap.
And you all often go over that threshold and get the capture.
Anyway so if you are ever on a hunt. And you want to know when to capture a creature. Without looking for visual cues in the animations or without having to look on the mini map.
You will always know when these second plug drops so in future capture hunts check for the pods. When that second pod drops. Let your team know drop that trap put the tranqs down.
And you have yourself a guaranteed capture. This has made capturing for me incredibly easy for my whole. Team incredibly easy.
Including veteran monster hunter players so keep an eye open for those pods. And you will never mess up a capture again so guys if this video helped you out make sure you hit that like button subscribe for more content like this let me know in the comments. What you want to see in next weeks investigation video check me out over on twitch.
